Locker Room Renovation, Camp Randall Stadium, Madison, WI

Montee Ball LockerDuring the summer, All-Color Powder Coating worked on a unique, high profile job for Hillcraft, Inc. and the University of Wisconsin – Madison.  Hillcraft was hired as a subcontractor for the renovation of the University of Wisconsin Badger football team’s locker room in the McClain Center at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison, WI. Hillcraft manufactures dynamic, high quality, architectural casework for appliance showrooms, hospitals, medical & dental offices, public schools and universities, nursing homes and professional office buildings.  This was Hillcraft’s first time using powder coating on their wood products and All-Color was very excited to show them what an amazing finish it is.  Jim Stoikes, Project Foreman for Hillcraft, worked with Scott Bass, MDF Sales & Development Manager at All-Color, to get the color and gloss just right for the Wisconsin motion ‘W’s that would adorn each of the players’ lockers.  There was a fairly tight timeline as the locker room needed to be usable for the opening game of the 2012 – 2013 football season!  Working together, we were able to meet this deadline and the players were able to enjoy their new locker room for the first game.Motion W

The motion ‘W’s were made from two separate pieces of medium density fiberboard (MDF).  The back piece was coated black and the front piece was coated Badger Red.  They were then fastened together forming a two color motion ‘W’ logo that was attached to the lower bench of the players’ lockers.  The lockers are already being noticed stated Jim Stoikes of Hillcraft,

Everyone who enters the locker room comments how impressive they are.  The motion ‘W’ on the benches attracts your attention immediately!
